Complex (Football Field). Miss Indian World Talent Presentation & Show tickets

Albuquerque Convention Center (Kiva Auditorium), April 22nd, 2010 (Thursday)
day of show.
*2010 Gathering of Nations Advanced Admission News: Re-Entry IS permitted! Tickets
will be used for the Miss Indian World Talent Presentation & Show. A parking fee
of $10.00 will be charged by third party (UNM) not GON. Fee will be waived
with 4 or more adults in 1 vehicle. REMINDER:
Discount cards for Dancers and Singers will be
mailed around Mid-January 2010 to previously registered dancers
and are ONLY redeemable at the Dancer Registration! (Please bring your
discount card to receive a reduced rate on two day wristbands during
Dancer/ Drum Registration at
NW Ticket Office at the UNM Athletic Complex (Football Stadium). (Please read

SUMMARY OF GENERAL ADMISSION INFORMATION AND TERMS:
All Wrist Band & ticket(s) sales are final and there are
no refunds allowed.
A limited number of Two-day Wrist Bands are available
Online. We need to make sure there will be enough for
both Dancers and Drums (Singers). Re-Entry
IS permitted on ALL One Day and Two Admissions! Wrist
bands will be used for Re-Entry for One Day and Two Day
Bands Only.Dancers
and Drums will be accommodated at Dancer Registration
Booth (NW Ticket Office
- UNM Football Stadium) Tickets will be used for the Miss Indian
World Talent Presentation & Show.
Wristbands
are custom cloth wristbands attached onto the arm
using a plastic Slide Lock®. Once locked into
place cannot be adjusted or removed without
cutting, ensuring that the highest level of
security is maintained.
Can I take a shower with Wristbands?
Wristbands are made out of a custom cloth so they
can get wet. Water will not damage your
wristband.
What happens if I remove or Cut off the Wristbands?
Bands need
to be wore AT ALL TIMES at the 2010 Gathering of
Nations. IF YOU REMOVE YOUR BAND A NEW BAND WILL
NEED TO BE PURCHASED. Bands will be color coded
depending on the event days you purchase.
How Do I remove the Wristbands? After the
event has finished
cut off your wristband with a pair of scissors.
Be cautious to cut only the band and not harm
yourself. All Wrist Band & ticket(s) sales are final and there are
no refunds allowed. A limited number of Two-day Wrist Bands are available
Online.We need to make sure there will be enough for
both Dancers and Drums (Singers). Tickets
and/or wristbands are NOT sent in the mail.If

I am a Dancer and/or Singer/Drum Group. Do I need to
purchase wrist bands? Returning dancers and singers with
a current address on file with the Gathering of Nations
will be sent a special discount card in Mid-January
for use at Dancer/Drum Registration only. REMINDER: Discount

All Dancers and Singers/Drum
Groups will be accommodated with a two day wristbands at Dancer/Drum Registration. Each dancer and/or singer/drum
group member can also buy
1 additional wristband for another person.
Are there assigned seats? What type of seating is
available? No, all wristbands are general
admission. The UNM Athletic Complex has typical arena
style seating with the majority of seating being benches
and some being individual seats. For attending Drum
groups or Singers, chairs available for rent and/or
bring your own chairs.
Are there discounts for Seniors or Children?
No. Only children 1 year old
and under are admitted Free. All wristband sales are
monitored and regulated by UNM and other government
agencies due to capacity, fire and safety regulations.
We are monitored by the space utilized and not the age
of attendee!
These are restrictions imposed on us and we ask for your
understanding for our interest in your safety.
Is
the UNM Athletic Field wheelchair accessible? Is
there handicapped parking?
Yes. Wheelchair seating is clearly marked and at the
entry level of the UNM Athletic Complex.
Handicapped parking is located in the front
of the arena near the main entrance. A parking attendant
will be on site to assist with special needs parking.
Wheelchair and Handicapped field access is not permitted
except to registered Drum Groups.
Parking. Is there a charge? A $10.00 Parking is regulated by UNM or lot
owner. Free
parking is available at some lots however some lots may charge a
parking fee.
Fee will be waived with 4 or more adults in 1 vehicle. Again Fees are regulated by the
lot owner not the Gathering of Nations. Fees
may also apply at the Miss Indian World Presentation
held at downtown at the Albuquerque Convention Center.

Can I purchase wrist bands
or M.I.W. tickets anywhere else?
No! General wrist bands for the 2010 Gathering of
Nations are ONLY sold at the door or if you wish to
purchase advanced tickets, click
here.Miss Indian World (M.I.W.) tickets are also
available at the door at the Albuquerque Convention
Center. MIW tickets can also be purchased in advanced,
click here.Only Miss Indian World tickets available at the
Convention Center, No PowWow tickets.
How many wristbands or M.I.W. tickets can I buy?
•
You may buy AS MANY wristbands and/or tickets as you wish
(subject to availability).
•You also may buy as many Miss Indian World (M.I.W.) tickets as
you wish at the doors (subject to availability).
Where do I
get school group tickets?
The special K-12 school rate of $7 per person is only
available on Friday, April 23rd, 2010 at the main ticket
window. Purchase orders issued by the school are
accepted at the main ticket window. SCHOOL TICKETS ARE
NOT AVAILABLE IN ADVANCED!
Where do I get a
Press Pass? Press Passes are limited
and are available at the Press Window located at the NE
Ticket Window.
All Press MUST register and show LEGIMATE Press
Credentials! Press does not have IN and OUT privileges,
you must register daily!
Why is the online price higher than the door price? The cost of accepting, processing, and fulfilling online
orders is higher. To cover heavy administrative costs
and 3rd party fees associated with advance tickets or
wrist bands and
due to restrictions placed on us, a per ticket service
fee applies for online sales. $1 per ticket and/or
wristband benefits the
G.O.N. Native American Academic Scholarship Foundation
at the University of New Mexico. Ticket prices also
include 50 cents per ticket UNM facility fee, online
credit card processing fees, and 3rd party
administrative fees.
The Gathering of Nations is a self-funded non-profit
organization that receives NO federal funds and little
to NO corporate support. The majority of funding for the
event, our academic scholarships, and our Native
community aid is from annual ticket sales. Surplus funds
from the proceeds of the event, the Gathering of Nations
gives back directly to the Native community. (For

Renting the Arena, Dance & Drum Competition, Hiring
hundreds of staff & security, Tents & Multimedia rental,
Utilities & Facility expenses,
