Why purchase tickets and/or wrist bands in advance?

Convenience, credit/debit cards, and little to no waiting in line. Advance ticket purchasers also receive a special unlimited use 25% off online GON merchandise coupon and a special entrance at the event. Online advanced ticket purchasing is optional and is offered as a convenience. At times, the line to purchase tickets or wrist bands at the door can be longer than some want to wait. Online advanced tickets or wrist bands are the only way to pay by credit card or by mail with certified funds. If the event is temporarily sold out or arena capacity has been temporarily reached, those who purchase tickets or wrist bands in advance are guaranteed admittance.

Why aren't tickets or wrist bands sent in the mail?
Several reasons including, in the past tickets and wristbands were fraudulently duplicated, or lost or stolen in the mail. Your tickets or wrist bands or wristbands will be safe and secure at the special Will Call booth at the Gathering.

Where / How / When do I pick up my ticket or wristband?
You may Will Call your tickets up at the following times:
FOR POWWOW, STAGE 49 & INDIAN TRADERS MARKET WRISTBANDS:
Thursday, April 28th from 9am-3pm at the UNM Arena, Avenida Cesar Chavez Blvd., Albuquerque.
Friday and Saturday, April 29 & 30th starting at 9am at the UNM Arena.

There will be a clearly marked Will Call booth at the UNM Arena and Will Call table at the Miss Indian World Program. There was little to no waiting in line to pick up your purchases.
    • Please have your photo ID ready, at the time of ticket pick up, please state your LAST NAME as it was indicated in the 'Ship To' field that was entered during online checkout.
    • If LATE Friday or Saturday and the Will Call booth is CLOSED, please go to the main ticket window to pick up your Advance Ticket(s). ALL tickets or wrist bands must be picked up at the same time to avoid any confusion with your order!



I am a Dancer and/or Singer/Drum Group. Do I need to purchase advanced tickets or wrist bands?
Returning dancers and singers with a current address on file with the Gathering of Nations will be sent a special discount coupon in Mid-January for use at Dancer/Drum  Registration only. Discount coupons for Dancers and Singers will be sent in the mail, bring the coupon to the Registration Booth located at the UNM Arena Dancer Registration, ONLY redeemable at Registration! All Dancers and Singers/Drum Groups will be accommodated at Dancer/Drum Registration at the Gathering of Nations. Each dancer and/or singer/drum group member can purchase a 2 day pass for yourself at a discounted rate and 1 additional ticket at regular price for another person.

Are there assigned seats? What type of seating is available?
No, all wristbands are general admission. The UNM Arena has typical arena style seating with the majority of seating being benches and some being individual seats. For attending Drum groups or Singers, chairs available for rent and/or bring your own chairs.

Are there discounts for Seniors or Children?
No. Only children 1 year old and under are admitted free. All ticket sales are monitored and regulated by UNM and other government agencies due to capacity, fire and safety regulations. We are monitored by the space utilized and not the age of attendee! These are restrictions imposed on us and we ask for your understanding for our interest in your safety.

Is the UNM Arena wheelchair accessible? Is there handicapped parking?
Yes. Wheelchair seating is clearly marked and at the entry level of the UNM Arena.
Handicapped parking is located in the front of the arena near the main entrance. A parking attendant will  be on site to assist with special needs parking. Wheelchair and Handicapped floor access is not permitted except to registered Drum Groups.



Parking. Is there a charge?
A $10.00 Parking is regulated by UNM or lot owner. Free parking is available at some lots however some lots may charge a parking fee. Fee will be waived with 4 or more adults in 1 vehicle. Again Fees are regulated by the lot owner not the Gathering of Nations.
Fees may also apply at the Miss Indian World Presentation held at downtown at the Albuquerque Convention Center. City or Albuquerque Convention Fees apply.

What is the last day I can purchase advance tickets or wrist bands?
The last day to order advance tickets or wrist bands on-line will be April 17, 2010 (Sunday). A limited number of 2 day wristbands are available on-line and will likely sell out early online. If you would like 2 day wristbands, you are encouraged to finalize your plans and purchase your advanced ticket(s) as soon as possible!



Can I purchase advance tickets or wrist bands anywhere else?
No! Advance tickets or wristbands for the 2011 Gathering of Nations are ONLY sold through gatheringofnations.com.



I don't have a credit card or I'm not comfortable using one online. Do you accept mail orders?
Yes and only for orders received by April 17th, 2011. You may mail a letter detailing your order and include the following certified funds (Money order or certified check ONLY. (PLEASE No cash, No personal or business checks) and mail to:

Please include the First and Last Name that the tickets or wrist bands should be reserved for, an email address or return mailing address for your confirmation letters.  Orders postmarked after April 17th, 2011 will be refused!!



How do I know my tickets or wrist bands are confirmed and guaranteed?
Every on-line and mail order for tickets or wristbands is manually reviewed by a REAL human being and confirmations will be sent as soon as possible by e-mail after receipt of your purchase. If you use a Spam and/or Junk email filter please refer to your email settings to allow e-mail from gatheringofnations.com to ensure that you receive email from our ticket administrator. Having your printed confirmation is recommended but not mandatory for order pick up at Will Call. If your email address was incorrect or blocked our email, you will not receive a confirmation. You will need to show up at Will Call Windows with a proof of purchase.



  Can I have someone else pick up my tickets or wrist bands?
Yes. It is best to put that person's name in the 'Ship To' field when you place your online order. If that isn't possible, please contact our ticket administrators by email at tickets2011 @ gatheringofnations.com (without the spaces in the email address) and let us know that someone else is picking up your tickets or wristbands.
Certain steps will be taken to verify your identity before any name will be changed. We will do our best to record any individuals name at Will Call to avoid confusion, please plan out your pick schedule and person prior to the event.



Can I order tickets or wrist bands for someone else?
Yes. During the checkout process online, enter that person's name in the 'Ship To' field. The tickets or wrist bands will be in their name and will be ready for them at the Will Call booth. Again please plan out your pick schedule and person prior to the event.



I ordered tickets or wrist bands and I want to purchase additional tickets or wrist bands, what do I do?
    •  You may place AS MANY orders for advanced tickets or wrist bands as you wish (subject to availability) before April 17th, 2011. Orders are processed by the name indicated in the 'Ship To' field at checkout. Multiple orders with the same 'Ship To' name and address will be consolidated into one order.
    •  You also may buy as many tickets or wristbands as you wish at the doors (subject to availability)



I'm sure my order was processed but I did not receive my email or mailed confirmation. What do I do?
If you do not receive an email or mailed confirmation of your ticket purchase(s), we recommend you contact our ticket administrators by email at tickets2011 @ gatheringofnations.com (without the spaces in the email address). In the unlikely event that you do not receive any reply or confirmation and you are sure you purchased tickets or wrist bands (a charge was made on your credit/debit card and is verified as a charge [not just an authorization] by your bank, your tickets or wrist bands will be ready for you at Will Call.

Can I go to Powwow Alley, Stage 49, and the Indian Trader's Market Tent?
Yes, once inside, you may go anywhere the Public is permitted in the stadium, Powwow Alley, Indian Trader's Market tent, and Stage 49 are all included with general admission.



My plans changed due to circumstances out of my control. Can I get a refund? What are my options?
Ticket sales are administered by and regulated by other entities. We are not allowed to give refunds under any circumstances, but YOU MAY transfer your ticket(s) to anyone you choose by contacting our ticket administrators by email at tickets2011 @ gatheringofnations.com (without the spaces in the email address).



2 day bands sold out online but I still want guaranteed tickets or wrist bands. What are my options?
You may purchase 2-day wrist bands at the door (if available) or you may optionally order a Friday and Saturday One-Day wristband(s) online.
If 2-day bands ARE available after all dancers, singers, and drum groups have been accommodated, 1-Day wristbands for Friday AND Saturday may be exchanged for a 2 day wristband at our discretion and subject to availability!

I am an approved vendor at GON and purchased additional advance tickets. Where do I go to check in and pick up my tickets?
Yes, check in at vendor registration at the NE Ticket Office. Additional tickets may be purchased at the door or in advanced, click here.



Where do I get school group tickets?
The special K-12 school rate of $7 per person is only available on Friday, April 28th, 2011 at the main ticket window. Purchase orders issued by the school are accepted at the main ticket window. SCHOOL TICKETS ARE NOT AVAILABLE IN ADVANCE!



Where do I get a Press Pass?
Press Passes are limited and are available at the Press Window located at the NE Ticket Window. All Press MUST register and show LEGIMATE Press Credentials! Press does not have IN and OUT privileges, you must register daily!



Why is the online price higher than the door price?
The cost of accepting, processing, and fulfilling online orders is higher. To cover heavy administrative costs and 3rd party fees associated with advance tickets or wrist bands and due to restrictions placed on us, a per ticket service fee applies for online sales. Also $1 per ticket and/or wristband benefits the G.O.N. Native American Academic Scholarship Foundation at the University of New Mexico. Ticket prices also include 50 cents per ticket UNM facility fee, online credit card processing fees, and 3rd party administrative fees.
