This page was created to offer highlights of the 1999 Gathering of Nations Pow Wow and Miss Indian World Pageant. It is difficult to relate the essence of the Gathering in any way written or shown except for experiencing it for oneself.
We will do our best to share some of the highlights from the 16th Annual Gathering of Nations Pow Wow.
The final Gathering of Nations Pow Wow of the Millennium was the BIGGEST and many have said "THE BEST" Gathering of Nations Pow Wow in it's 17 year history. Total attendance was estimated at over 200,000 people who came from around the world to see ALL PEOPLE come together in unity and harmony, to gather with a common purpose.

Major networks such as CNN, FOX, CBS, ABC along with numerous radio stations and a live web video broadcast attempted to capture the spirit of the 16th Annual Gathering of Nations Pow Wow, Miss Indian World, Indian Traders Market, and the good eats and entertainment of Pow Wow Alley. Those of us who attended know that the ONLY way to truly capture the spirit is to BE THERE!

THANK YOU to all of our friends for making the 1999 Gathering of Nations Pow Wow such an incredible success. Congratulations to ALL of the Dance, Drum, and Miss Indian World winners. In my opinion, all of us who experienced this year's Gathering of Nations Pow Wow, Miss Indian World Pageant, and Indian Trader's Market, truly came away winners.
