Set against the backdrop of Expo NM in Albuquerque, NM, this culturally rich event promises an enriching experience that showcases the beauty and vibrancy of over 700 tribes from the United States and Canada.

A Unique Educational Excursion

Mark your calendars for School Day on Friday, April 24, 2026. This day is specifically tailored for students, offering a special school group rate of $8 per person (in the group). It is a splendid opportunity for students to immerse themselves in Native American culture, witnessing the splendor of traditional dancing and singing held in Tingley Coliseum. The aim is to foster a deeper understanding of diversity and richness of Native Indigenous cultures, turning this into a live educational experience that goes beyond the conventional classroom setting. In addition to the sights and sounds of the event, there are Arts & Craft Vendors inside the Creative Arts and Manuel Lujan Bldgs.

Planning Your Visit

Special Group Rate Availability: The special rate of $8 per person is available only before 12pm on School Day, April 24. PURCHASING ADMISSION:  Bring a Purchase Order or Cash for the group to the Box Office, Purchae Orders will be invoiced just after the event. The Student Group Pass can be purchased at the Ticket Box Office at Expo NM either on Thursday, April 23 (10am-3pm) or Friday, April 24 (9am-12pm). TEACHERS AND CHAPERONES MUST ENTER WITH THEIR STUDENTS.

Arrival and Entry

-PARKING: Buses: Use GATE 1 off Central Ave Westbound.  NOTE: IF CHAPERONES ARE IN SEPARATE VEHICLES, PLEASE FOLLOW THE BUS TO PARK INSIDE GATE 1.

– PARKING: All vehicles with School Groups should Park inside GATE 1 for entry to the event at the Purple Awning on the Westside of the grounds.

– DROP-OFFS: At GATE 4 on San Pedro Drive Northbound.

BOX OFFICE LOCATION: Box Office for School Groups is located on the Westside of the Expo NM grounds. If parking inside GATE 1, make your way to the westside and you will see the Box Office and Purple Awning for Entry into the Event. 

Important Times:

– Thursday, April 24: Box Office open 10am-3pm

– Friday, April 25: Box Office and Gates open at 10am | Grand Entry of Dancers at 12pm followed by youth dance categories and continuous music on Stage 49.

Schedule of Events on Friday, April 24:
9:00am – Box Office Opens
10:00am – All Entry Gates Open to the Public
All day: Music and Entertainment on Stage 49, Traders Market (craft vendors and information booths – schools, recruitment, etc)
12:00pm – Grand Entry of Dancers inside Tingley Coliseum (best to have group leaders find seating as soon as possible in Tingley)
4:00pm – Horse Rider Regalia Parade around the Expo NM Grounds

Please give yourself extra time for Parking, Security/Bag Check & Entry. For School Groups ONLY: Students may bring individual sack lunch, no glass containers or coolers.
